Methamphetamine Pathway via Benzyl Chloride?

Hi folks,

I was reading through some of the old Rhodium archives and came across an interesting part:

“Due to the controls placed on P2P an increasing number of the laboratories are trying to synthesize methamphetamine using benzyl chloride, acetaldehyde and methylamine (10%). However, the synthetic protocol in the underground publication gives an incorrect sequence for addition of reagents, therefore, none of the laboratories using this method were successful in synthesizing methamphetamine.3”

This implies there is a pathway, and I still don’t believe I’ve seen this documented anywhere online.

Wouldn’t this be a major win for us if we could bypass the need for p2p with benzyl chloride which is easily made from benzyl alcohol and a few household ingredients ?

I know benzyl chloride is an irritant and has a nasty smell but it’s much better than the cyanides people are using to attempt to make p2p.

Yes. You can synthesize Methamphetamine from Benzyl Magnesium Chloride and Acetaldehyde Methylimine. Acetaldehyde can be formed from Pyridinium ChloroChromate without over oxidation to Acetic Acid. Oven Dry Your Glassware for 15 minutes to get rid of moisture and water. You got to add Acetaldehyde, Methylamine, Anhydrous Magnesium Sulfate, and Diethyl Ether. The Magnesium Sulfate absorbs the water formed. The Benzyl Chloride add Diethyl Ether and Magnesium Turnings and an Iodine Crystal, then blast it with Ultrasound. It forms Benzyl Magnesium Chloride. Add Acetaldehyde Methylimine a slight excess of it and blast the dry anhydrous mixture with Ultrasound. The Ultrasound makes it work even if there's a tiny bit of water or moisture. It has to preferably be bone dry. You should get Methamphetamine. Just turn it into Methamphetamine Hydrochloride.

Here's Benzyl Magnesium Chloride grignard reaction on Acetone Methylimine and Hydrolysis with dilute HCl to get Mephentermine.

Just replace Acetone with Acetaldehyde and you get Methamphetamine.

Acetaldehyde Methylimine and Acetaldehyde tend to polymerization, so use right away.

You must oven Dry glassware for 15 minutes before preparing grignard reagents. You must blast Ultrasound on it with an Ultrasound machine which acts as a catalyst and guarantees success even with 1 drop of water. You must keep things as dry as possible.

Using Acetaldehyde Ethylimine from Acetaldehyde and Ethylamine makes Ethylamphetamine.

Benzyl Magnesium Chloride and Acetonitrile bone dry oven Dry glassware and blast with Ultrasound and Hydrolysis with Hydrochloric Acid makes Phenyl-2-Propanone.
