Obtención de opio a partir de la planta de adormidera entera

Hola a todos, tengo 50 amapolas que están creciendo, ya han florecido. Me interesaba extraer el opio de toda la planta, porque rayar la vaina de adormidera me parece un desperdicio de adormidera, ya que toda la planta contiene alcaloides.

Pero no estoy seguro de cómo hacerlo, ¿debería arrancarla de la tierra lavarla y luego hervirla en agua, filtrarla y luego evaporar el agua?

¿O cuál sería un procedimiento mejor?

Así se hace: extraer la planta entera. Se recolecta, se seca en seco y se muele lo más fino posible. El alcohol (cualquiera) es el disolvente de elección, el agua no es buena en absoluto.

¿Por qué no agua? ¿Puede dar más detalles sobre el método? ¿debo cosecharlas cuando están secas, porque suelo cosecharlas cuando están en su punto máximo de madurez, cuando tienen la mayor cantidad de opio aka todavía verdes.

Si han pasado de 5 a 7 días desde la caída de los pétalos, deberías obtener un buen rendimiento cocinando a fuego lento con agua, pero no superes los 80ºC (45ºC es la mejor temperatura), ya que puede empezar a descomponerse la morfina.
